01How does face recognition work?+

When you upload an event, Expode's AI indexes every face it finds — including people in the background, farther away, or in a side view, not only clear front-facing portraits. A guest takes one selfie and we match it against the event's photos in seconds — they only ever see their own matches.

02Is guest data private?+

Yes. Each guest receives a private, tokenized link to their own matched photos only. Selfies are used solely for matching, and guests can opt out of notifications at any time.

03Can guests download originals?+

That's your call. Downloads can be enabled or disabled per link — you can allow full-quality originals, HD versions, or viewing only.

04What happens when I hit my storage limit?+

New uploads that would exceed your plan stop. Your existing galleries keep working for 30 days if you're over Starter limits after a downgrade or overage — with in-app and email reminders. After that, guest galleries pause until you free space or upgrade to Pro. We never delete your photos for being over limits; the same guest links work again the moment you recover.

05Do you delete galleries if I downgrade?+

No. Some platforms delete over-limit galleries after a downgrade — we never do. Everything stays, guest links stay valid, and galleries return for guests the moment you fit under Starter limits or upgrade.

06Can I control watermarks and downloads?+

Yes. Studio watermarks on previews, password-protected galleries, and per-link download control are built into every plan.

07Does Expode support WhatsApp and SMS delivery?+

Yes — photo-ready notifications can go out via WhatsApp or SMS with a private gallery link, and guests can share their photos onward in one tap. Availability depends on your studio's messaging configuration.
